This is the “Secret” to Sales Success
- This is the “Secret” to Sales Success
- Stop Reading Scripts – Start Communicating from your Heart
At the heart of all transactions you’ll find this truth to be the core. This is the one SECRET to life long success in network marketing and sales.
See for yourself.
Let me start by asking you this questions, first. Have you EVER taken your business from one company or person and given it to another (which sells the same product or service) because you just didn’t like the person you were dealing with, or you didn’t trust the person completely? Have you ever said, “I don’t know what it was about him or her, but I just didn’t like them.” Or, “I just don’t trust him or her.” Or, better yet, “I don’t really know them.”
If you’ve ever said these phrases, as I suspect we all have, then you know E-X-A-C-T-L-Y how important it is to do business with someone you know, like and trust. You have to have a relationship in place – first.
Now this misguides most MLM trainers into the next realm – which is make the list of 100 of your closest friends and family and go bang on their doors till the cows come home.
NO.
Let me re-emphasize this.
NO.
There is a right way and a wrong way to introduce your business to friends and family. You do need to make connections, build relationships, but these relationships ALL must exist on the plane of what can YOU DO for the other person, first.
In the beginning of any of my businesses, I knew people would do business with me if they only got to kneow me. I am a very caring person, and although I am a bit shy, I do my best to show others how much I care about their situation and problem. I also knew that once they got to know me, they really couldn’t help but like me, respect me, and most importantly – trust me. Then I would be able to conduct business with them for years, and years to come.
So – go out of your way to meet new people with the INTENTION of building a relationship – first, introduce your products casually, second, and let it be their idea to contact you for help, third.
The same will be true for ANYONE selling ANYTHING.
Think about this for a second. The instant someone starts to trust you, you can sense it don’t you? After trust is established, moving forward in the relationship becomes much easier doesn’t it? It can be with a friend, a loved one, or in business. And it’s peculiar because you can’t really pinpoint trust; you just know it’s been verified and achieved.
Stop for a minute and think of one person you trust completely. Can you explain why you trust him or her? It’s hard to put into words isn’t it? I know it is for me.
Think about it this way. What makes you trust what I say?
Have you met me? Do you know me?
But after awhile, you come to realize that while I am selling some courses, you also realize the value I deliver in the free training you have taken part in to date demonstrates the kind of person I am, and the heart I have.
You may feel more comfortable taking a training course from me – than from others, because what I say rings authentic with you.
I am building a relationship with you.
Even though you and I have never met.
We are building a relationship built on trust.
You are beginning to trust me to tell you like it is.
There is nothing more powerful than trust.
Nothing.
I am not some authority figure out to scold you or cause a scene. I am not some person who is out to take from you or your downline. I am here delivering support, offering guidance, and sound, business advice on building a business.
And I’m doing it over the Internet.
Which proves, you don’t have to sell to your friends and family.
ok, back to my bigger, more important point.
Now, there’s been times when we’ve all decided not to buy from a “salesperson” because something just didn’t “feel” right. Maybe we suspected they weren’t telling us the whole truth, or the salesperson was side stepping our questions, or simply the salesperson didn’t seem confident in his or her knowledge or is or her product.
When we sense deception or distrust, a very powerful alert mechanism is automatically triggered in our innermost being. We don’t think about it, it instinctively happens. It’s built into us. It’s as automatic as gravity. And, if we fail to yield to this built in INSTANT-WARNING-DANGER-ALERT REACTION, we will remain unsettled and uncomfortable regarding our entire decision.
Do you know WHY businesses repeatedly advertise and market to people? They’re attempting to establish rapport, dependability and reliability -all which leads to trust and eventually likability by continually placing their advertisements in front of folks.
That’s why repetition, repetition, repetition is so vital in educating, marketing and advertising to people. It helps people develop an awareness, which in turn psychologically establishes trust.
It doesn’t matter how many books you’ve read on selling, marketing, advertising, network marketing or prospecting, the most important reason why people BUY is simply this one truth:
they liked and/or trusted the individual that was selling the product or service.
Nothing else will replace TRUST in the potential relationship. At the core of all transactions you’ll find this truth to be the FOUNDATION, the cornerstone of your world.
Keep in mind, if you haven’t built in trust into the relationship, then nothing – and I mean nothing will replace it. You may make a sale, but you won’t make a life-long customer.
You’ll find your presentations, prospecting, and selling so much easier if you will seek first to establish a relationship and solve problems for others or better yet- teach them how to solve their own problems using essential oils and YL products themselves.
So – in just a few paragraphs you have learned 4 key business basics today:
- PEOPLE DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE THEY KNOW, LIKE, & TRUST.
- You don’t have to be face to face with the person to build trust, rapport, and a relationship.
- Trust is built over a period of time
- Repetition remind others of who you are and why they need you.
Namaste
