The Importance of a Contact

As you build your list of contacts, you should also come to understand the importance of a single contact.

“Each contact added represents another human being; a person with feelings, thoughts, and desires; a person with hopes, memories, and dreams. Their most cherished day of the year is their birthday. The most important people to them are their family members. They deserve to be remembered, cherished, and honored.”

All contacts are precious.

Especially your friends and family.

Don’t squander them needlessly.

However, I do want to make one point before you throw up your hands and say NEVER will I hassle my friends and family. NEVER.

If your most precious people in the world are dealing with a health crisis, don’t you owe it to them to at least share Young Living and how the products have helped you???

In my opinion we have a duty, an obligation, and a responsibility to at least let our closest people, our dearest people in our lives KNOW about Young Living and how it’s helped us.

I have virtually eliminated ALL symptoms of asthma and many of my allergy symptoms using Young Living Essential Oils DAILY. I am blown away.

If you have a loved one who you KNOW can benefit from the oils, why wouldn’t you take up the badge of courage and tell them about the oils? Sign them up as a member, offer them your prices and feel good about helping them alleviate their health issues.

If you have a loved one who you KNOW can benefit from the financial abundance that Young Living provides, why wouldn’t you take up the badge of honor and implore them to look at the incredible compensation package Young Living offers and show them how easy it is to build a financial freedom using this as the vehicle to early retirement???

I personally don’t condone the list making method, because many Young Living Distributors need to stop promoting this and start promoting truly valuable business building strategies.  Yet, I want to emphasize the responsibility you have to your friends, family and loved ones to provide light should they choose to take it, and offer them support, leadership and motivation to help them transform their lives should they choose to seek it out.

While Warm Market List Building will get new distributors up and running the first 30 days, after they run out of their warm market (and they will), they will perish and disapear if you don’t teach them new strategies.  You cannot expect them to rely on a warm market list (WML) strategy alone. This is when they turn desperate and think they need to buy opportunity leads – which will lead them down the path of ruin.

You must teach your team HOW to FISH – including how to fish for leads.

That being said, there is nothing like working with friends and colleagues who already know you and trust you. The relationship is there and can withstand the test of your practicing your different systems and strategies on them before you go broad.  Their level of tolerance for your testing is higher if you let them know you are practicing and they are your guinea pig.
