Content Is King Online
Do you have a website? If not, and you are a Young Living distributor, you need one, and quick. Why? Because 85% of all people come to the Internet to do ONE THING – and that is to find information and solutions to a problem they are trying to fix now.
If you were where they could find you – AND you had the perfect oil to help them with their specific problem, don’t you think they’d buy? You bet! Emotional purchases to solve a burning need or problem are the most common purchases on the Internet today.
So what if you already have a website but you just aren’t being found? What then?
Well there are some very simple strategies to help you drive more traffic to your website.
But before you do that, you better have the information this person is looking for up on your website. And that means CONTENT.
Yes, content. You need to have a number of quality articles that help people identify their problem and find a solution in a particular oil. Do you think you could come up with several article ideas? I know I could.
“But Isis,” I hear you saying. “While ideas are easy, I have no time to write!”
What if you wrote a simple article a day? Spent 30 minutes a day writing one single article? What if you added a few hundred words a day to your website daily? Could you do it?
Not everyone could. Your brain has to come up with this stuff… Here’s an idea.
What is your website about? Is it about migraine relief? Let’s say it’s about migraines…
Sit down and write out a list of topics that you could talk about related to migraines. Brainstorm away…
Can’t think of anything! Do a search: www.Google.com
Still can’t think of anything!
Remember that place you used to go to in school? Maybe you still do. That big building with all the books….
The Library! Go to your local library or your local bookstore. Better yet, go to Amazon or Google’s Book Search. Now go and collect a bunch of ideas on migraines. Take those books and make a list of all the topics related to headaches.
Now there be a lot of migraine topics. Now, you’ll be able to target your audience better and the Search Engines will like you better if you’re focused. Excellent, now weave into some of those topic ideas how Young Living products and relieve migraine pain and symptoms and reduce migraine flare up. Mention a few specific, key Young Living products and now you’ve got a phenomenal set of ideas.
The next step is to take that list and put that list in order of relevancy for your Young Living niche website. Focus on the topics that are related to what your website is about. As time goes on you’ll add to this list.

- When your subject’s in the news…
- Maybe some of the topics will be broken into several sessions…
Then each day grab a topic off your list and write about it!
What are you going to say? Don’t worry about it. Just start typing. It’ll come.
You have to learn to let go. Relax. Let your mind do the typing.
Writing for the web is infinitely more relaxed and easy going than writing a term paper, or a project status report for your boss 
.
If you need to, write out an outline first, but then just go do a free write. It may not be perfect. You may have to fine tune it after you’re done, but you’ll have done it! You acted. You’ll get better as time goes on.
You don’t have to do much. 500 words a day about your chosen topic would be more than enough. Just enough for the search engines to find some new content relevant to your subject.
Pay some attention to a few keywords focused on your niche. Try to optimize a little for those. In other words, maybe repeat the main words or phrases of the topic a few times. If you’re talking migraine relief, mention the phrase migraine relief a few times. Then the search engines will know what your little article or content is about.
You will probably only need to set aside a half hour a day once you get good at it.
