Action Breeds Success in Young Living
Only Through Action will Anything Happen for Your Young Living Business!
That may sound obvious, but many people never get anywhere because they don’t decide to act.
Some will over analyze their business. They will overthink a “what if” situation. They will spend way too much time trying to find excuses and reasons why they cannot succeed, as opposed to just taking an action and learning as they learn to earn.
Your lesson for today is:
Don’t FREEZE. Don’t become a victim to analysis paralysis.
Yes, perhaps the original plan of action doesn’t ultimately work out (case in point some of our own technology decisions ultimately didn’t end up being the right decisions, but we are working through those decisions and now building a far stronger foundation!) Don’t expect to be perfect, and don’t expect yourself to know all the answers. Just get out there and start sharing, start talking and don’t stop until you have reached your goal. Keep putting one foot in front of the other foot.
Inaction will not get you anywhere…
If you don’t make a decision to take an action, ANY ACTION – you are just sitting on the sidelines waiting for life to happen to you.
A couple examples…
Recently I was alerted by someone that there was a publication that was looking for Blogs… I don’t even remember exactly what it was for (A sign of being to busy…)…
But all I needed to do was e-mail the reason my Blog should be included…
What makes my Blog special? And then send it out to see if they will except it. Literally a 10 minute process…
Well I could have froze. I could have put it off. I could have been lazy and just waited until tomorrow which will never happen as it gets buried under a ton of new stuff to do…
What did I do?
I acted. I immediately typed up that e-mail and sent it!
Will anything come of it? Maybe, maybe not, but something wonderful might!
Another example is I see a lot of Young Living distributors trying to decide what to do with their business. Should they be everything to everyone? What niche should they focus on? What if they make a poor choice in niches? I had a student cancel saying this program wasn’t for her. When I emailed her to find out why she canceled, she told me, “I just don’t know what niche I should go after. Its just too hard a decision.” She threw in the towel before she ever tried. If you take the time and you make the commitment to go after a niche, and you focus on that niche, I guarantee you will make more money than trying to be everything to everyone.
I don’t like to see you get so caught up in analyzing the problem that you never act… The entire point of all these programs are to GET YOU TO TAKE ACTION and SEE HOW YOU CAN CREATE A REAL BUSINESS, A WILDLY SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS, but only if you get out of your own way and allow Universe to help point you in the right direction.
You have innate, special talents and gifts you were given. You have very particular interests. You have passions and dreams and desires. Just pick something and go with it until you either reach a dead end or something bigger comes along. That’s all you have to do. Pick your favorite oils, pick a couple of problems you can solve with the oils, and pick a target market and start selling.
There is no reason why you cannot be successful in this business. If you don’t make a decision to take action, you’ve already lost and you’ve already failed in this business. But guess what, all it takes is just another simple choice. Choose success over failure. Choose love over fear. Choose passion over should haves, Choose your favorite oils over the “best selling oils”. And for goodness sake, choose to listen to your intution in your heart over and above anything anyone else tells you. Internal wisdom from Universe and Higher Self Divine will ALWAYS put you on the right path to success.
You can ask questions. You should gather enough information to know all your options. But once you do, don’t just look at what you’ve gathered.
Pick something to do and Act.
You have to decide to go out there and Just do it!
For example, if you don’t know enough people to grow your business, then make an agreement with the Universe and make the decision that you will not come home until you’ve met two people.
What do you do? Pick up two rocks at your favorite Gem Store, or better yet, two smooth sided stones that really speak to you. Write on them Friend One and Friend Two. Put them in your Left pocket. Now, don’t go home until you’ve made two new friends today. Do whatever it takes. Learn the art of small talk. Make friends, get contact information and grow a real relationship with people. When you meet your first new friend and exchange contact information, that’s friend one. move your friend 1 stone to your right pocket when you are alone again. Now all that’s left is Friend 2.
Just think in 30 days you could make 60 new friends. What do you think about that?
You may fail sometimes. Your choice in action may not produce good results… But it will provide SOME results. You cannot expect results sitting in your living room watching TV bemoaning your fate.
Even if you just learn from the experience, you sit in a better situation than you were in yesterday…
The Universe thrives on change. Stagnation results in Chaos. Change and knowledge gaining results in your being able to make complex decisions faster and simpler.
Again, this doesn’t mean don’t analyze anything. You have to know you’re making the best decision given your situation and the knowledge you currently have. You have to know your options, but once you do, make the move. Start the ball rolling. Don’t sit and stagnate.
Motivation doesn’t come first. You can’t sit and wait to be motivated by someone else. The Key to Motivation is to motivate yourself. Motivation comes from within. Motivation comes from cultivating Desire for something more, something greater than yourself…
Action comes first!
Act now and the motivation will follow…
So look at your Young Living Business, gather enough information to make a choice about the path you are going to take with it, and then Act on it…
